How do I make a reservation?
Reservation requests can be submitted online utilizing the secure Eviivo booking engine. Click on the “Check Availability” link to start the reservation process. You can also call us directly at (320)834-7250.
What are the guest room rates?
Rates varied based on the room, time of year, holidays, and special events. (Effective 10-1-2023)
Rates for Two-night Stay Only
Peak Season(May-September): Main-level rooms(The Barred Owl & The Bald Eagle)-May-September-$164 ; Patio-level rooms(The Blue Heron & The Wild Turkey)-May-June-September-$174
Off-season(October-April): All rooms-$150
Holiday(Thanksgiving & Christmas/New Year): all rooms-$170
Special event(CCW Grape Stomp): Main-level rooms(The Barred Owl & The Bald Eagle)-$174; Patio-level rooms(The Blue Heron & The Wild Turkey)-$184

Is a deposit required?
Yes, a deposit is required. The full cost(including taxes & fees) of the first night is required to confirm and guarantee the reservation.
EXCEPTION: For designated holidays and special event weekends, the cost of the entire stay may be charged at the time of the reservation.
The deposit is payable by credit(debit) card at the time of reservation request. The credit card transaction will be proceeded typically within 24 hrs. through The Square and a receipt sent via email or text.
What form of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards and cash. Additionally we can send you an invoice for payment before your arrival. We do NOT accept checks of any type.
What is your cancellation & refund policy?
Our cancellation & deposit refund policy is:
- More than eight(8) weeks prior to check-in date the deposit will be refunded less $50 service fee
- Less than eight(8) weeks prior to check-in date the entire deposit is forfeited*.
- Less than 24 hours prior to check-in date/time(4:00 Central Time(US)) the entire cost of the stay will be charged*.
Exception: If the room is re-booked by another party for the same period, you will not be billed for the entire cost of the stay and the deposit will be refunded as a lodging credit (Valid for 12 months from date of issuance) for future use in the amount of the deposit less the $50 service fee
Is a two-night stay required?
Yes and No! Best rooms rates are available for a two night stay. Occasionally, single-night stays are made available on weekends at a premium rate.

What time can I check-in? What time is check-out?
Check-In Time: 4:00 -6:00 pm. Early check-in may be available for an addditional service charge of $50(non-refundable) with prior approval.
Check-Out Tme: 11:00 am. Late check-out are not available
What are the designated holidays and special event weekends?
For 2024, the designated holidays and special event weekends are: Memorial Day weekend, “CLOSED”, Fourth of July week, June 28-July 7, Labor Day weekend, August 30-September 2, CCW Grape Stomp, September 12-15, Thanksgiving weekend, November 22-December 1, Christmas & New Year weeks, December 20, 2024-January 5 2025.
Accommodations
Is the facility and grounds non-smoking?
Yes, in consideration of all our guests, the entire facility and grounds are non-smoking, including all tobacco products, cannabis, and electronic devices(vaping). Up to a $500 service fee may be assessed for costs associated with non-compliance to this policy
Are children allowed as guests?
We welcome persons 16 years or older (as adult occupants). The facility & available amenities and the desired ambiance is not suitable for infants and young children.
What size is the bed in the guest rooms?
Each room has one queen-size bed. Maximum room occupancy is two.
How many people are allowed in each room?
Two guests maximum due to county regulations.
Does each room have a private bathroom?
Yes, Each guest room has a private en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
Are you handicap accessible?
Yes and no! The facility is mobility-restricted friendly. The main level with access to two guest rooms, the dining area, the Great room, the porches and decks is virtually barrier-free with a ramp from the unloading area to the entrance, large doorways, low thresholds and wide hallways.
However, we are NOT fully ADA compliant.

Are pets allowed?
No. For the comfort and safety of other guests and staff, guests’ pets are not allowed on the premises.
This restriction also applies to service animals. (See ADA Title III Compliance Statement below)

Amenities
Is breakfast included as part of our stay?
Yes, a full plated breakfast is included in the room rate. Each breakfast includes an entree’, breakfast meat, fresh seasonal fruit and a breakfast bread(depending on the entree’) Breakfast is served at 8:30 am.
Can you accommodate special food requirements?
Yes and no. With prior notice, we can make minor adjustments to ingredients, preparation and selection to our breakfast menu items. However, please note, we are not trained to fulfill highly specialized and restrictive dietary requirements. Also note the kitchen facility, the prep and cooking utensils. etc cannot be guaranteed to be allergen-free. Please feel free to call us and discussion your dietary requirements.
How far is the lodge from downtown Alexandria?
We are located 7 miles northwest of Alexandria, directly down County Rd. 82 in Garfield, MN.
Can I use the kitchen?
No, the kitchen is not available for guest use. Our food service license from the county does not allow guests the use of the kitchen. There is a refrigerator available for guest use.
Is free Wi-Fi and the Internet available?
Yes, Wi-Fi and free high-speed Internet is available throughout the entire facility.
What are the grounds like? Are there trails?
Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing with over a mile of maintained hiking/snowshoeing trails through the prairie woodland.
How far is the lodge from the Central Lakes Trail?
From the end of the driveway, the Central Lakes Trail is less than 1/4 mile.
